The Summer Session will take place over a five week period starting July 14, 2008, ending August 9, 2008.
The Education Service District 121 in partnership with the Chemical Dependency Professional Institute and Tacoma Community College is enthusiastic about providing a comprehensive education program for the working professional that is seeking certification as a chemical dependency professional. This is a new and exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The classes will include orientation for the on-line program and the beginning assignment for the HSP 145 Survey and Pharmacology of Substance Abuse.

Saturday, July 19: 9 to 5 PM

Final session for HSP 145 and will include material presented in lecture format, presentation of student papers and final exam.

Course:  HSP 149                                                           
 
Assessment and Diagnosis of Addiction:
  • GAIN course work
  • Clinical evaluation 

HSP 149 Assessment and Diagnosis which will include orientation and planned course work for screening, assessment and diagnosis. It will include some GAIN coursework. ,

 
The course will be completed with presented material in the morning and review of cases for assessment and diagnosis and a final in the afternoon.
The course will require about 48 combined hours of direct class room work and on-line
